More time for sales thanks to AI at an inside sales organisation
The challenge
A sales organisation with 44 account managers noticed that the sales team was losing more and more time to administrative tasks and internal coordination. Every day, hours were lost manually entering customer data, drafting quotes and answering recurring colleague questions about product information, delivery times and prices. This put direct customer contact under pressure.
Our approach
Together with sales management we analysed how the team spent its time: which processes cost the most, where is the repetition, and what can we automate without losing commercial impact? We implemented two targeted AI solutions:
- An AI-driven assistant within the CRM system, which automatically fills in customer data, suggests follow-up actions and summarises emails. This saves the sales team a lot of manual work.
- An internal sales chatbot that instantly answers questions about products, margins, delivery times and processes, reducing interruptions and coordination moments.
The result
- • 35% more time spent on direct customer contact
- • Quotes drafted up to 4x faster
- • Better follow-up thanks to automatic CRM tasks
- • 60% fewer internal questions about product info
- • “Finally real time to sell again,” says the team
Why this works
We integrated the AI solutions directly into the team's existing tools and ways of working. Employees didn't need to change their routine: AI works quietly in the background and takes away manual work. As a result, salespeople feel supported rather than replaced, exactly as it should be.
Quote from the Sales Manager:
“This is a game changer. Our team is focused on customers again, not systems. We now genuinely get more out of our working day.”
