What is Microsoft Copilot Studio?

Microsoft Copilot Studio is Microsoft's low-code platform for building your own AI agents, without coding. An agent is an AI assistant with a fixed task, its own instructions and its own knowledge sources, such as your SharePoint documents. You can publish an agent to Microsoft Teams, among other places, so colleagues use it where they already work.

If you have Copilot Studio, you have everything you need to build your own agents. In practice, many people get stuck: they don't know where to start, building takes a lot of time or the agent gives inconsistent answers. In this training you learn the fast route.

Copilot Studio training: 80% building, 20% explanation

You don't spend four hours looking at slides. You spend 80 percent of the time building in Copilot Studio yourself, with your own documents, processes and questions that come up every week.

We use the 20 percent of explanation only where it's needed: how to write good instructions, why an agent sometimes gives a wrong answer and how to handle company data and permissions safely. Then you get straight back to building.

The result: you don't go home with an idea of what agents can do, but with an agent that runs and that your team uses the next day.

Building agents: what you make during the training

Most Copilot trainings show what Copilot can do. In this training you build yourself. Every participant or sub-team works on their own agent based on a real process from your organisation. Examples of agents you can build:

  • A knowledge agent that answers questions based on your own documents in SharePoint, such as the employee handbook, policies or product information.
  • An onboarding agent that shows new colleagues the ropes and answers the questions they ask in their first weeks.
  • An agent that does work, for example through a connection with Outlook or another app, or through an agent flow in Power Automate.
  • A team agent in Microsoft Teams that your whole department can use.

You learn to give the agent instructions, connect knowledge sources, test, improve and publish. Because it is built on your own material, it is ready to use straight after the training.

Connecting Copilot Studio to Teams, Outlook and SharePoint

An agent is only valuable when it sits where your team works. That's why in the training we connect Copilot Studio to the Microsoft 365 apps you use every day.

  • Microsoft Teams: you publish your agent to Teams, so colleagues use it in their familiar environment.
  • SharePoint and OneDrive: you use your Word documents, Excel files and PowerPoint presentations as a knowledge source, so the agent answers based on your own information.
  • Outlook: through a connection, you let an agent do something instead of just answering, such as drafting or sending an email.
  • Power Automate: you connect an agent flow to your agent, so it also carries out steps in a process.

Working smartly and quickly with Copilot Studio

Copilot Studio can do a lot, and that's exactly why it's easy to get lost in it. In this training you learn ways of working that save time: you first describe your agent in plain language, write instructions that give good answers straight away, test in a targeted way and only improve what's needed. You also learn which mistakes cost a lot of time and how to avoid them.

That way you spend your time on what the agent should do, not on searching where things are. Beforehand we check which permissions and connections you have, so you can get started right away on the day.

Which businesses is this Copilot Studio training for?

This training suits teams that already have Copilot Studio and want to work with it smarter and faster: not endless trial and error, but building agents that genuinely take over work in a short time.

Sound familiar?

  • You keep answering the same questions from colleagues or customers.
  • Important knowledge is scattered across documents nobody can find quickly.
  • You have Copilot Studio, but building still takes a lot of time or delivers little.
  • You want to build agents, but don't know where to start or what is safe.
  • You're looking for a practical training rather than a presentation.

The training works for HR wanting to streamline onboarding and policy questions, for sales and customer service wanting to answer quickly and consistently, for operations wanting to automate recurring tasks, for IT and key users wanting to roll out agents across the organisation and for management wanting to understand what agents deliver.

Copilot Studio training content

The content of this training is never standard. We always tailor it to your wishes: which processes and documents your agent should handle, which questions come up every week and what knowledge level the participants have. The structure below stays the same, the content we fill in together with you.

Phase 1. What are agents and what is Copilot Studio?

We start with what an agent is, how it differs from a regular chatbot or prompt and how Copilot Studio works. Short, with real-world examples.

Phase 2. Designing your agent

You pick a real process from your organisation. You decide what the agent should do, what it must not do, which knowledge it needs and how to write good instructions.

Phase 3. Building and connecting

You build your agent in Copilot Studio, connect knowledge sources such as SharePoint and add actions with connectors or an agent flow. You learn the fastest route: start with a plain-language description, test smartly and improve where needed.

Phase 4. Publishing and responsible use

You publish your agent to Microsoft Teams. We discuss who has access, how to handle permissions and company data and what the AI Act requires of you.

Phase 5. Next steps and embedding

We map which other processes are suitable for an agent and you get concrete next steps. In the 30-minute online follow-up session we review what has happened with the agents since the training and solve questions that came up in practice.

What does a Copilot Studio training deliver for your business?

  • At least one working agent per participant or sub-team, built on your own processes.
  • Less time spent on recurring questions and standard tasks.
  • More return from the Copilot Studio licence you already have, because your team builds faster and independently.
  • Insight into which processes in your organisation deliver the most as an agent.
  • The full presentation so you can keep building yourself.
  • A 30-minute online follow-up session to solve questions from practice.
  • A free follow-up call within 7 days to agree on next steps.
  • An AI Act certificate per participant, easy to share on LinkedIn.

What is an AI agent in Microsoft 365?
An agent is an AI assistant with a fixed task, its own instructions and its own knowledge sources. It answers questions or performs actions, and colleagues use it in Microsoft Teams, for example.
Do I need to know how to code to build agents?
No. Copilot Studio is low-code: you build in a visual environment and give instructions in plain language.
We already have Copilot Studio. What else will we learn?
How to work with it smartly and quickly. Many teams have Copilot Studio but build slowly or get little out of it. You learn a fixed approach that takes you from idea to working agent faster.
Do we need Microsoft 365 Copilot for this training?
No. The training is designed for teams with a Copilot Studio licence and we only work with what that licence makes possible.
Which agents will we build during the training?
Agents based on your own processes, such as a knowledge agent on your SharePoint documents, an onboarding agent or an agent that does work through a connection. We agree on this with you beforehand.
Which licence do participants need?
Every participant needs a Copilot Studio licence. During the intake we check which permissions and connections you have, so there are no surprises on the day itself.
Can we use our agents in Teams?
Yes. You publish an agent from Copilot Studio to Microsoft Teams. Your IT administrator can approve publication first.
Is it safe to connect agents to our company data?

How long is the Copilot Studio training?
4 hours at your own location: 3 hours of training and 1 hour of questions and deep dive. This is followed by a 30-minute online follow-up session.

The Advanced training is for teams working with Microsoft 365 Copilot. This Copilot Studio training is for teams with a Copilot Studio licence and is entirely about building your own agents.
Does the certificate comply with the AI Act?
Participants receive a certificate you can use as evidence within your AI literacy approach. The AI Act requires organisations to ensure employees have sufficient AI knowledge. We provide the training and the evidence; responsibility for the full policy remains with your organisation.
Is the content of the training tailored to our wishes?
Yes. The content is never standard. During the intake we determine together which processes, documents and questions your agent should handle and what knowledge level the participants have. Based on that we put together the programme for the day itself, within the fixed structure of five phases.
