AI Teamgame: The Billable Hour

The Billable Hour is built for teams who want to know exactly where their own time savings lie. Not in theory, but in the work they have to do again tomorrow. Think of a sales team that types the same quotes every week, a finance department stuck in reporting, or a customer service team answering hundreds of emails a week.

The difference with a regular AI training is that participants bring their own tasks as material to play with. What they've built by the end of the day, they simply carry on using the week after.

What your team learns in three hours

Participants unpick their own work process and find the steps where the most time disappears. Then they apply Copilot or Claude to that real work, not a made-up practice case. And they learn to make time savings measurable, because the jury judges on minutes saved, not on who had the nicest idea.

That measurability is exactly the point. Many organisations know AI saves time but can't say how much. By the end of this game there's a list of processes, minutes, and names attached.

How the three hours unfold

We start with a short explanation of where AI does and doesn't save time. Teams then choose their own process and unpick it step by step. In the middle stretch they build a working speed-up with Copilot or Claude, from a prompt template for recurring emails to a fixed way to summarise documents. Our game host walks around and helps teams that get stuck. We wrap up with short pitches, after which the jury counts the minutes saved and names the winner.

How many participants can take part?

From 6 to 150 people, split into teams.

Do we work with Copilot or with Claude?

We agree that in advance. If your organisation already works with Microsoft 365 and Copilot, we build on that. If there's no fixed tool yet, we discuss what fits best.

Do we need licences?

Yes. Participants work on their own laptop with a working account for Copilot or Claude, because they get to work with real company documents. If licences are missing, we think along: we can arrange temporary accounts for part of the group, or set up the assignments so teams share the available licences.

What does this teamgame cost?

The price depends on group size and content, so we work with a tailored quote. After a 20-minute call you'll know exactly where you stand.

Do participants need to know anything about AI?

Basic experience with Copilot or Claude helps, because in three hours you get straight to work on your own tasks. Beginners can easily take part in a mixed team; if the whole group is new, we start with a longer explanation or recommend a basic training first.

How is the time saved measured?

Each team measures the duration of their process before AI, step by step, and then the time with the speed-up they've built. The difference is multiplied by how often that task occurs per week. The jury checks whether the measurement is realistic and whether the solution really works tomorrow, and based on that counts the minutes saved per week.

Can The Billable Hour also be run online or hybrid?

Yes. On location works best, because teams unpick their process together at a table, but we also run it fully online or hybrid with digital team spaces and the same jury judging.

What happens with the results afterwards?

Everyone takes home an overview with the processes found, the minutes saved and the prompt library the teams built that afternoon. That lets you carry the win straight into the rest of the organisation.

How quickly can you schedule it?

Allow two to three weeks lead time, so we can properly align the tool, the licences and the processes in advance. For busy periods we recommend booking further ahead.
